John Craig Painter of vivid landscapes, light –filled interiors, picturesque bouquets, still life with fruits and personal objects, garden paths and poppy fields, John Craig is undoubtedly a contempory artist who continously describes a dialogue between abstraction and impressionism. The subjects of his paintings are meticuously constructed into elaborate compostions. They are usually developed in the foreground of the image and linked through subtle elements, which may be objects, undefined colored shapes or patterns, with the desired background. In his paintings, John Craig combines a sense of clarity, solidarity and fluidity. When one analyzes his colors and painting techniques, the artist can be seen as a contemporary impressionist.

Born in London, England in 1955, John Craig immigrated to Canada with his parents in 1964. He attended Ontario College of Art and graduated with the qualification o OACA in Fine Art. He has received numerous awards for his works and he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Canada and United States. His works have been exhibited in various private galleries in North America and Europe and are part of numerous private collections.
