Beverly Roithner grew up in rural Pennsylvania, north of Pittsburgh. During the summer she enjoyed staying with her extended family at nearby farms. Her most memorable childhood experiences were at her grandmother’s 250-acre dairy farm in the southwest corner of Pennsylvania. The farmhouse, built in the 1700’s, had no running water. Her painting today is representative of the many hours spent exploring the open fields and taking in the breathtaking vistas.

Primarily a self-taught artist, Beverly explored the great world of mixed-media painting. She challenged the rules of art by mixing different media in unusual ways. Her favorite compositions result from adding gold, silver and copper leaf with acrylic paint.

Beverly currently lives in Northern Virginia with her two favorite guys, her husband, Glenn, and an energetic dachshund named Rupert. Both encourage her passion for life and art.
