Marga Portal was born in Madrid in April 1962. She spent 3 years 1980-1983 at the University of Madrid studying the art of painting and applied art—specializing in etching and lithography. Since that time she has held numerous exhibitions, including:

The House of Culture, Alcobendas
Etching Exhibition at Lavapies Cultural Centre
Etching Exhibition at The Womens Bookshop, Madrid and Torculo Gallery, Madrid

She received a recommendation of the highest order in El Ferrol (La Coruna) Spain.
