Scott Minner is a graduate of Illinois State and received his Masters in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University where he studied in the formal painting tradition under Morris Yawowsky and Donald Crowe.

"My art is inspired by relationships. Some are close, some off by themselves, and others are surrounded." Mr. Minner works with 600 art students in a Virginia elementary school every week. A school full of openly expressive young people seems the perfect place to study relationships.

His work has been exhibited at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia and is in the private collection of St. Thomas Church.
