Lillian Fitzgerald has worked as an artist, art consultant, curator and free-lance juror for the past twenty years. She graduated from East Carolina University with a B. F. A. in painting and a minor in drawing. Lillian's work is drawn from the familiar things in life. China and fabrics passed down from her grandmother, fruit and flowers from her garden. In her prints these cherished objects represent friends, siblings, parents and children.

"By looking carefully at objects I have known all my life I hope to express the intimacy of a life closely observed. I don’t consciously set up a still life to represent stories of my life. It is only by going through the process that I realize why I have chosen a specific teacup, bowl or flower.”

Lillian lives in Virginia with her husband and three children.
